Hi there sweethearts, lipgloss seems to be all over the place isn’t it? No matter where I look, everyone is wearing or lipgloss or lipstick with lipgloss. What happened to the gorgeous matte lipsticks? I talked about it with my friends and a lot of responses are like dry out lips and a lifeless look. But I totally do not agree. That’s why I made a list of why matte lipsticks are delightful!

1. Go bold
Lipgloss or lipgloss based lipsticks are not that much of an option if you like bold colors. They smudge transfer and don’t last long. In contrast to lipgloss matte lipsticks don’t create all that mess.
2. Be in style
Whether you’re opting for a cool or chic look, matte lipsticks are always in fashion. You’ll see that in time there will be no other lipstick form you’d want to use.
3. Get naturel
If you’re into natural makeups, matte lipsticks are indispensable. No one will even notice you’re wearing lipstick, but your lips will look beautiful. Of course it’s your job to find the right natural colors.
4. Go versatile
Matte lipsticks are extremely versatile. You can wear it each day, for example as a base coat on your lips. When using a matte nude lipstick and apply another color over it, you’ll see the second layer is far more intense than when you apply it directly on your lips. An extra tip: add a little bit of clear gloss on the center of your lips for the perfect finish!
5. Save yourself time
Last but not least, matte lipsticks are extremely easy to wear. The lipsticks tend to last longer and are more pigmented than lipgloss which makes it easy to go for bolder colors. You can update every look in a sec by choosing the right matte lipstick. Tip: before applying the matte lipstick, use a clear balm to prevent your lips from dehydrating.
