Hi angels, I know I’m not the only one out there showing off my long hair. And for all the ladies with long hair, you know there’re a few things that always keep happening to you. That’s why I made a short list of all kinds of stuff I have to deal with every day and I’m sure you’ll recognize it!
1. ‘Don’t you need to see a hairdresser?’
I daily take a look in the mirror, at least every five minutes. So I’m sure how my hair looks. Trust me, if there is someone who knows when I need to visit the hairdresser I would be the first one to know. So no, I don’t need to visit the hairdresser, but thanks for the concern! Yes, I know. I can get really bitchy if it comes down to my hair.
2. How does your hair grow this fast?
Maybe I’ve the perfect genes? Or maybe I just take good care of my hair? Who knows… I’m just happy it does grow.
3. A tight ponytail hurts like hell
You know what I’m talking about, it feels like your hair is fighting gravity. Nevertheless we keep doing it. Well, you know what they say. Who wants to look beautiful has to suffer pain.
4. The messy bun can be a real mess
There are people out there envying all the hair we have, but what do they know about the struggles we have to go to, just to create that perfectly messy bun? But, practice makes perfect. And thankfully we have a lot to work with.
5. Curling or straightening is a day job
If I decide to curl or straighten my hair, I literally have to schedule the time it will take in my planning for that day. At least, I had to. Past tense. It was terrible, but thanks to the hair angels I have on quick dial, now I can get my hair done in a reasonable amount of time.
6. You feel like Rapunzel
Combing your hair is part of your morning and evening routine. Sometimes even your midday routine if that’s a thing. In order to keep the golden locks in check we have to brush a lot.
7. ‘Isn’t it hard to wash all of that long hair?’
Yes, it is hard. A full wash and dry process costs me around 2 hours. But hey, if you really want something… You know it’s absolutely worth it!
