If you have been following my social media channels you probably have seen or read I’ve got myself a collaboration with RTL MCN! The huge Youtube- network of RTL Netherlands. I’m so excited and can’t wait to get really started.

So first of all, I got my photoshoot. Exciting as it was I had to decide how to communicate my style and esthetic to the audience in just one frame. As you now I stand for fashion, beauty, lifestyle and travel. Incorporating this in one frame had me thinking, when I really have to combine these four areas. And I figured: when I’m going for a holiday!

That’s why I grabbed my favorite travel suitcase, my selfie stick, my furry coat, some make-up and I was ready to go. Not on a holiday of course, but to the RTL MCN photo studio. I’m so excited about the end results!

Hi busy butterflies, ready for some new habits to become highly successful? I have to confess, there are some habits some people have naturally and some just don’t. But if you’re looking for some tips on getting that successful vibe going on. Read along.

1. Have a morning routine
It doesn’t really matter what you do, as long as you do it structured. For example eating breakfast, exercising, reading the paper virtually.

2. Plan your entire day
It seems obvious, but it really works. Writing down what’s waiting for you the rest of the day helps you concentrate and get your life structured.

3. Read or watch the news
Really easy to incorporate in your morning routine. Reading or watching the news provides you with information to easily connect with other. It also shows you’re up-to-date.

4. Don’t overthink things
One of the most important things is to trust your gut instinct. If it doesn’t feel right, it probably isnt’t.

5. Reflect
Reflect your whole day and decide what went right and what went wrong, where did you have a good feeling and where a bad one. Doing this, will help you decide which routine works and which doesn’t.

My confession: I try my very best to get my life as structured as possible using these tips. Will you give it a try?

Why this are the 5 painful social media mistakes

Hi beautiful followers, just updated your FB status? And posted that amazing pic on Instagram? Well, I was looking around on some social media channels and found some serious social media don’ts.  To prevent you from making these mistakes I named some for you here below. Take a look, and be aware!

1. Addresses
You probably think, obviously. But did you know geotags (for example on Instagram) can give away your home and/or work address. Even on FB, if you don’t pay attention your location is given away.

2. Kids
Well, if there is any moment you should pay a lot of attention is when your posting photos of children, especially if they’re not your own. Make sure you always get permission. And most important of all, never ever mention the school they’re going to.

3. Vacation
I know you’re excited, finally a vacation and you want everyone to know it. But trust me, you don’t want robbers to know, so that’s why you shouldn’t spread vacation details all over the web.

4. Finances
It’s amazing how some people make pictures of their credit cards. Like, what do you want to proof? But far more important is to be careful giving away details. Like your income range or the bank you’re holding your finances.

5. Photos
In particular private photos, I would like to believe you’re not a sex freak posting nude pictures all over social media. But well, you might direct message. And that’s still a bad idea. No one is to be trusted, especially a guy who you think you can trust, can turn out to be a jerk.

This were the five social media don’ts I noticed, if you’ve more definitely let me know! It’s really important to keep these tips in mind. Privacy is rare nowadays, so make sure you own yours☺.

Why eating ginger is a must

Hi there sweethearts, as you might know I use ginger a lot! If it’s in my tea or when I’m cooking. It practically became an unmissing part of my life. Today I will explain why.

Ginger is a versatile plant that can be used in forms like powder, dried, fresh or as juice. It’s a source of vitamin A, C, E, B magnesium, calcium and zinc. So you can guess ginger has a lot of health benefits. Let’s name some.

1. Ginger cures sickness
Ginger is a powerful medicine to cure vomiting, dizziness, cold sweating and nausea. Far more powerful than commercial drugs. It even helps out if you’re just pregnant!

2. Ginger reduces pain
If you suffer extreme menstrual pains ginger is your guy. It also helps to relieve headaches and muscle pains. I actually invented a new saying: a warm cup of fresh ginger tea keeps the doctor away!

3. Ginger prevents cancer
Scientific studies have shown ginger can slow the growth of colorectal cancer cells. Enough reason to put a little bit of ginger in your smoothie.

4. Ginger boosts your immune system
Know those winter times you spontaneous fall sick? Well that’s your immune system falling short. That’s the moment ginger should come to mind. Ginger stimulates blood circulation and keep you warm during winter. Especially ginger/lemon tea is an amazing boost for your immune system.

5. Ginger helps to lose weight
Ginger promotes satiety. This means you’ll need less calories to feel full. Besides, it helps to speed up your metabolism and burning fat.

So now you know why I consume ginger so much. This spice is nothing but healthy. And who knows, I might have convinced you to try it! Let me know dolls.

Try this 5 minute yoga exercise in the morning

Hi my lovely darlings, you know what I noticed lately? My time management is getting really good. Yes, I admit, there was a time it was terrible. But now it’s going all well. I even save myself some time in the morning to do a 5 minute yoga exercise to revitalize. It’s really amazing how you can feel so energetic and relaxed. You totally have to try it! Read along and find out how.

So this five minute yoga exercise I’m talking about is actually a very popular yoga sequence called Surya Namaskara. The yoga fans among us will definitely recognize this term. Surya Namaskara is a five minute morning exercise which will make you feel calm, more energetic and a very important one: you’ll have less aches and pains. Basically the Surya Namaskara benefits your vital organs, muscles and your mind.

Surya Namaskara is done to honor the sun and share your gratitude for its energy by doing a series of postures, each with its own meaning. You can see the postures on the picture below.

A few personal tips:
– It’s very important to take long, deep breaths
– Each of the 12 postures (or 24 postures if you switch legs by postures four and nine) should by executed with full dedication.

Hi there darlings, have you been stressed out lately? Well, I’m almost always stressed out. Which is, I have to admit, a bad habit. I decided that from now on, starting today, I will vow to follow the five following rules to live a happy life. It won’t be easy, dealing with everyday problems. But I’ll do it to get the best out of every day. Are you in?

1. Laugh more
Find reasons to laugh and surround yourself with people who make you. Taking life not that seriously can even add some years to your lifespan.

2. Sleep enough
I’m not a fan of zombie like people walking around like they haven’t slept for ages. I’m one of them though. Not done! So rule number two on my list is getting enough sleep. The daily recommendation is seven or eight hours a day.

3. Move more
Exercise is important, there will be no one not agreeing with me on this one. But did you know moving more on a daily basis can make you feel a whole lot better. For example taking the stairs instead of the elevator.

4. Keep your family close
Family bonding plays a huge role in your happiness. Staying close to your family –yes even with all the drama going on- makes you feel more relaxed and happy.

5. Help others
Yes, voluntarily helping other makes you feel good about yourself. Giving back to the community makes you feel having a purpose and you actually are building on good karma.

So these are the five rules I vow to pay more attention on. And writing this article I feel I can actually do this! What do you think?

7 foods to stay hydrated this summerHi there darlings, am I the only one or is the heat really getting to us? I started looking for some ways to stay hydrated and found some amazing foods to do so. They’re healthy and tasty! Read along and get inspired.

1. Popsicles
Homemade they’re the best, but if you don’t have the time try to go for popsicles without added sugar. This ice cold food is one of the best ways to stay hydrated during the summer. Besides, they’re yummie.

2. Watermelon
Famous among the summer foods I guess. Containing 91% water, with this food you’ll definitely get hydrated. Watermelon also contains a lot of lycopene, an antioxidant that helps fight cancer. Watermelon is also easy eatable. It can go in your smoothies, fruit salads and even in summer cocktails.

3. Berries
Berries provide a decent amount of nutrition and hydration. Especially blue berries and strawberries contain the most water. Just like watermelon, berries are easy addable to water, juice, smoothies and yoghurt.

4. Cucumbers
How about a healthy snack? Cucumbers are perfect hydration material. They contain 96,7% water, which is more than a watermelon contains. You can use cucumbers in your salads, smoothies, sandwiches or just with hummus.

5. Grapefruit
Losing weight and staying hydrated at the same time go hand in hand with grapefruit. This fruit offers you a lot of benefits. Grapefruit keeps you hydrated, consists of fat burning compounds, reduces cholesterol levels and stabilizes blood sugar levels. What more can you ask of a fruit? Try eating this fruit using it in water, juices and salads.

6. Celery
Not my favorite to be honest. But celery is a very good addition to stay hydrated. Besides, celery has a lot of health benefits. Its rich in fiber, vitamin K and vitamin C. Celery helps to keep stomach acid away and is awesome treating heartburn symptoms. If you’re not that much of a celery fan like me, try to eat is with hummus or just use it in your green smoothie.

7. Spinach
Spinach is a very beneficial food. It’s high in fiber and potassium and contains a lot of vitamin E. The water content is 91,4% and therefor a food that keeps you hydrated. Try to put some spinach leaves on your sandwich or use it in your smoothie.

With these food you’ll stay hydrated all summer long without any trouble. My personal favorites are the watermelon and cucumbers. What’s your favorite?

5 don’ts at your work

Hi there beauties, today’s post is about five don’ts at your work. I remember my good old days when I wasn’t an employer myself I always made sure to follow the rules. I actually even was afraid to break them! And obviously if you want to be seen as a serious employee, you should follow these rules and stick to your workplace’s etiquette. So here we go.

1. Don’t gossip
At work, you’ve to show your professionalism. Discussing co-workers personal lives is a no-go!

2. Don’t have a low morale
It’s really important to show enthusiasm for your duties. If people get the idea you’re doing your job because you have to, you’ll soon be the downer on your department. And trust me no one wants that to happen!

3. Avoid conflict
When you face personality clashes be sure to make some reasonable decisions to minimize the conflicts. The best way to avoid it is to compromise. After all, no one likes tension.

4. Never say ‘it’s not my responsibility’
It can happen your supervisor or manager asks you to do something that’s not in your job description. Your answer can go two ways: ‘Yes of course’ or ‘that’s not my responsibility’. If you’re looking for a job promotion option one is the way you want to go.

5. Don’t be a lone ranger
If you want to be an appreciated employee, it’s important to be a team-player. You should be able to work with your co- workers. This does not only mean during working hours. People expect you to be a part of their day. So during lunch hour you should be there!

But let’s be honest these rules don’t apply everywhere. The most important rule is to feel confident in what you do and how you do it. And what if you’re forced to maintain a dress code? We can even be fabulous in a clown suit! Don’t you agree?

Hi there sun shines, as you know the most important thing in a relationship is respecting each other. There are some things we find more important than others. So today I made a checklist of seven signs a man respects you. And to be honest the list below should be followed by all men!

1. He always asks for your opinion
He asks for your advice when he applies to a job or has a disagreement with a friend. Maybe he does not always agree with your advice, but your insights are important to him.

2. He does not try to manage your life
He trusts you and let you do your thing. He knows that you take your own responsibilities.

3. He does not get jealous when you go clubbing without him
He’s confident in your relationship and more important he trusts you and respects that you do things without him.

4. He’s on your side
He relies on the choices you make and he’s on your side in a fight. Even if he only hears your side of the story, he still cheers for you.

5. He challenges you to take risks
He wants you to have success and he believes in you. He’s not worried because he knows you’re strong enough to handle it.

6. He doesn’t lie to you
He shares everything with you. From an ex who sent him a SMS to all the embarrassing moments he has been through. He doesn’t feel the need to hide anything from you.

7. He accepts the fact you do not always agree
If it’s politics or food, he does not try to change your opinion. Even if it’s not the same as his.

Hi sweethearts, are you ready for our next holiday destination? Today I’m taking you to Marbella, a glamorous beach resort destination in Andalusia, Spain.
