Hi busy butterflies, ready for some new habits to become highly successful? I have to confess, there are some habits some people have naturally and some just don’t. But if you’re looking for some tips on getting that successful vibe going on. Read along.

1. Have a morning routine
It doesn’t really matter what you do, as long as you do it structured. For example eating breakfast, exercising, reading the paper virtually.

2. Plan your entire day
It seems obvious, but it really works. Writing down what’s waiting for you the rest of the day helps you concentrate and get your life structured.

3. Read or watch the news
Really easy to incorporate in your morning routine. Reading or watching the news provides you with information to easily connect with other. It also shows you’re up-to-date.

4. Don’t overthink things
One of the most important things is to trust your gut instinct. If it doesn’t feel right, it probably isnt’t.

5. Reflect
Reflect your whole day and decide what went right and what went wrong, where did you have a good feeling and where a bad one. Doing this, will help you decide which routine works and which doesn’t.

Why this are the 5 painful social media mistakes

Hi beautiful followers, just updated your FB status? And posted that amazing pic on Instagram? Well, I was looking around on some social media channels and found some serious social media don’ts.  To prevent you from making these mistakes I named some for you here below. Take a look, and be aware!

1. Addresses
You probably think, obviously. But did you know geotags (for example on Instagram) can give away your home and/or work address. Even on FB, if you don’t pay attention your location is given away.

2. Kids
Well, if there is any moment you should pay a lot of attention is when your posting photos of children, especially if they’re not your own. Make sure you always get permission. And most important of all, never ever mention the school they’re going to.

3. Vacation
I know you’re excited, finally a vacation and you want everyone to know it. But trust me, you don’t want robbers to know, so that’s why you shouldn’t spread vacation details all over the web.

4. Finances
It’s amazing how some people make pictures of their credit cards. Like, what do you want to proof? But far more important is to be careful giving away details. Like your income range or the bank you’re holding your finances.

5. Photos
In particular private photos, I would like to believe you’re not a sex freak posting nude pictures all over social media. But well, you might direct message. And that’s still a bad idea. No one is to be trusted, especially a guy who you think you can trust, can turn out to be a jerk.

This were the five social media don’ts I noticed, if you’ve more definitely let me know! It’s really important to keep these tips in mind. Privacy is rare nowadays, so make sure you own yours☺.

Hi there darlings, feeling the heat today? Definitely a beachy day in Amsterdam. And I thought by myself why not just do it? As a kid I remember playing ‘I’m going to the beach and taking with me…’ Well, today I did the same for you. I’m going to the beach and taking with me….

My Sunblock cream from Garnier, after all can’t afford my sun allergy to take over. My waterproof mascara from L’Oréal, in case I take a dip in the sea. My pink lipgloss and some nail polish by L’Oréal to keep me busy. Of course I took a magazine, and not just a magazine but Vogue the Book! Have it for a while now, but didn’t get a chance to read it yet. So today is perfect. My new sublime express pro sublime bronze by L’Oréal for my face, since I can’t enjoy the sun too long and I’m still dying for a beautiful tan. My new BB summer legs cream also by L’Oréal for the perfect summer legs. Last but not least my favorite L’Oréal makeup bag to take everything with me!

Hi there sweethearts, a lovely day for some beauty tips isn’t it? Now I was thinking of some tips I use to preserve my natural beauty and I would love to share them with you. Who wants to look like a Barbie doll after all? So here we go.

1. Use facial masks every week
A high quality facial mask can make your skin look soft and smooth. It also helps to keep you looking young and fresh without using layers and layers of make-up. By making time at least once a week to relax and use a facial mask you’ll definitely see the difference.

2. Eat healthy food
Of course you know that healthy food is important for your body. But did you also know healthy food can make your skin look great? Take avocado for example. There are a lot of foods out there to keep your skin healthy. Stay tuned to find out more about these healthy foods.

3. Try using minimal hair styling products
Your hair can look beautiful, pretty and healthy by just using less hair styling products. I know it sounds weird. But it’s true ladies. I tried it myself and it just works. Also not washing your hair daily has a lot of benefits. For example it prevents your hair from breaking easier.

4. Wear perfume or body spray every day
Lots of women are busy making themselves beautiful with make-up, but what they often forget is that smell is as important as make-up. Choose a fragrance that suits your mood.

Try this 5 minute yoga exercise in the morning

Hi my lovely darlings, you know what I noticed lately? My time management is getting really good. Yes, I admit, there was a time it was terrible. But now it’s going all well. I even save myself some time in the morning to do a 5 minute yoga exercise to revitalize. It’s really amazing how you can feel so energetic and relaxed. You totally have to try it! Read along and find out how.

So this five minute yoga exercise I’m talking about is actually a very popular yoga sequence called Surya Namaskara. The yoga fans among us will definitely recognize this term. Surya Namaskara is a five minute morning exercise which will make you feel calm, more energetic and a very important one: you’ll have less aches and pains. Basically the Surya Namaskara benefits your vital organs, muscles and your mind.

Surya Namaskara is done to honor the sun and share your gratitude for its energy by doing a series of postures, each with its own meaning. You can see the postures on the picture below.

A few personal tips:
– It’s very important to take long, deep breaths
– Each of the 12 postures (or 24 postures if you switch legs by postures four and nine) should by executed with full dedication.

Hi there darlings, have you been stressed out lately? Well, I’m almost always stressed out. Which is, I have to admit, a bad habit. I decided that from now on, starting today, I will vow to follow the five following rules to live a happy life. It won’t be easy, dealing with everyday problems. But I’ll do it to get the best out of every day. Are you in?

1. Laugh more
Find reasons to laugh and surround yourself with people who make you. Taking life not that seriously can even add some years to your lifespan.

2. Sleep enough
I’m not a fan of zombie like people walking around like they haven’t slept for ages. I’m one of them though. Not done! So rule number two on my list is getting enough sleep. The daily recommendation is seven or eight hours a day.

3. Move more
Exercise is important, there will be no one not agreeing with me on this one. But did you know moving more on a daily basis can make you feel a whole lot better. For example taking the stairs instead of the elevator.

4. Keep your family close
Family bonding plays a huge role in your happiness. Staying close to your family –yes even with all the drama going on- makes you feel more relaxed and happy.

5. Help others
Yes, voluntarily helping other makes you feel good about yourself. Giving back to the community makes you feel having a purpose and you actually are building on good karma.

So these are the five rules I vow to pay more attention on. And writing this article I feel I can actually do this! What do you think?

Self- care tips for workaholics like me

Welcome back darlings, as I always keep saying life is way too busy. But this way of living can be seriously dangerous for your health and physical well- being. If we forget to take some time off, exhaustion and emotional frustration will be inevitable. Read on to find out some self- care tips I try to use to keep my mental health in check.

1. Sleep
The best way to give your body the rest it needs is to sleep. It’s an essential part of a healthy lifestyle. Sleep benefits your mind and weight. For this reason alone regular sleeping schedules should be a key part of your life. It comes down to one simple conclusion: your body needs a good rest to generate energy for the next day.

2. Take vitamins
Nowadays food doesn’t contain all the nutrients and vitamins you need to be healthy. Even though you pay so much attention to it, most of the time you can’t meet the vitamin dose you need. That’s why I always take vitamins to keep my levels up.

3. Take some alone time
Some time alone gives you the opportunity to get hold of your life, look back on your day and shape perspectives on your needs. Besides, alone time will help you rest from all the responsibility and working hours.

4. Exercise
Movement is life and if you spend a lot of time sitting (for or at work) your body gets out of balance. It’s important to acknowledge that regular exercise help many of the body’s systems function better. Try to make a reasonable day schedule including exercise!

These four tips help me out a lot getting out of the workaholic vibe I have to deal with every day of the week. Are you a workaholic like me? Try these tips out and you’ll feel a lot healthier, fitter and more beautiful!

Hi there darlings, what a lovely day isn’t it? Not! It’s rainy, cold and did I already mentioned cold? But hey, we’re mid- May so technically summer right? So in case the weather gets better I’m prepared with the following next 5 beauty tips for this summer. Read along and find out my not so secret tricks.

1. Wear sunscreen
In general, due to my sun allergy I wear sunscreen every day. Yes, even if it’s winter. But during thesummer it’s a must to have some good quality sunscreen for everyone. Not only does it protect your skin from sunburn, it also protects against skin aging and even skin cancer!

2. Don’t overdo it
During the summer it can get very warm easily. So, don’t overdo your make- up. Some thick foundation and eyeliner will slide away faster than you applied it. Go for some lighter make- up. Like a tined moisturizer.

3. Make waterproof your middle name
Summer time means sweating and swimming. To keep your look in place go for as much waterproof make- up products as you can. Use waterproof mascara, waterproof eyeshadow, waterproof eyeliner and waterproof concealer to keep your look in place.

4. Pay attention to your hair
All that swimming will make your hair frizz like it’s been through a storm, but don’t you worry. No chlorine will be able to beat our hair down (or should I say up?) The only thing you should do is revitalize. Use some good hair masks and your hair will look gorgeous in and outside the pool!

5. Find your best friend Bronzer
Trust me, you want to be bronzer your best friend. Especially during the summer. Bronzer gives you the right touch of shine and color to create the perfect healthy glow, you just have to find the right bronzer for you. The high temperatures during the summer can make it really hard to keep your make- up in place, trust me if there’s someone who knows it’s me. I hope these tips help you out, like they helped me!

4 easy ways to upgrade your wardrobe this May

Hi there busy butterflies, it’s already May… Just one month left this spring. I can imagine you’re almost out of outfits. At least I am. That’s why I figured to share some tips on how to upgrade your wardrobe. So here we go.

1. Get used to thrift stores
A huge benefit of thrift stores are the unique items you can find. And let me not even start on the prices! Items are so affordable you almost can buy a whole collection out of it. This of course if you can find the right ones. So take your time and go thrift hunting.

2. Dive in your granny’s attic
Vintage clothes are the trend this spring, so why not search close to home? Like, granny’s attic? It’s absolutely the place to find some fabulous vintage items!

3. Visit the flea market
Ok, so this one may sound ridiculous, but it actually isn’t that bad as you think. Flea markets have a reputation, I admit there are a lot of dirty clothes out there. But trust me ladies. Flea markets are not only for poor people and there are also a lot of clean amazing items. This kind of items usually also are in a good condition. You just have to find the time to take a look around.

4. Remake your old clothes
Last but not least, take a look in your wardrobe and find the items you don’t like anymore or that don’t fit you. Step two of the process? Remake them! Some old jeans can be spectacular new shorts. A maxi dress can be turned around in a lovely mini spring dress and so on.
