If you’re in a rush –which I always am- it’s the one thing you definitely skip. Heat protection products in that moment sound like sabotage and you just ditch it. But darlings, applying heat protection products is one of the essential steps you should put up high on the priority list. The heat protection ensures your hair doesn’t get fried every time you straighten it. This means it keeps the shiny look and gives your hair the ‘your hair looks so amazing’ glance.
2. Divide
If you’re going for the real sleek straight hair look, you’ll have to do it properly. This means you’re colleting all hairclips you own –especially if you’ve a lot of hair like me- to section out your hair. Each section has to be small enough, so you can straight the whole section in one time. Remember to spend equal time on all of the sections. Trust me it makes all the difference in the world.
TIP: start styling from the bottom for a more professional look.
3. Backcomb
Ever thought about how people get their hair uber straight without making it flat? Well, it seems to be depending on your genes. No, of course not… I’m just messing with you. Backcombing your hair carefully is the trick! Backcomb while blowdrying and straightening. Be careful with this, a too big backcomb can ruin the whole look.
